The Capacity Building Wing of FVTRS operates the Life Skill Club, which serves as a training unit to equip various stakeholders with life skills. FVTRS conducts comprehensive 12-day, three-phase training programs to promote Master Trainers.

Life skills encompass abilities for positive and adaptive behaviour, enabling individuals to effectively handle everyday challenges. These psycho-social competencies are essential for addressing common problems in daily life and becoming active, productive members of society.

The Life Skill Club offers training for Master Trainers, Schools, Colleges, NGOs, CSR, Government officials, Private companies, manpower companies and others.

The Master Trainers trained by FVTRS has the opportunity become member of FVTRS training Faculty.
FVTRS organized the second phase of Life Skill training for the 8th batch of master trainers. The ToT was organized at Jeevan Jyothi Institute (Hyderabad) from 21st to 24th October 2019.

A total of 21 masters trainers from India and Tanzania participated in the four day residential training program. The focus of the second phase was on the development of inter-personal skills and competencies that included Communication, Empathy, Relationship Building, Conflict Resolution and Teamwork.

Life Skill Club is a training unit of FVTRS to train different stake holders in Life Skills. The club has already 82 certified trainers and 26 are undergoing the training. The master trainers are imparting the training to other stakeholders. Life Skill Club offers training to different stake holders .The Master training course is conducted for 12 days in three phases.

Life skills are abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable humans to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life, in other words, psychosocial competency. They are a set of human skills acquired via teaching or direct experience that are used to handle problems and questions commonly encountered in daily human life. The subject varies greatly depending on social norms and community expectations but skills that functions for well-being and aid individuals to develop into active and productive members of their communities are considered as life skills.

In a constantly changing environment, having life skills is an essential part of being able to meet the challenges of everyday life. The dramatic changes in global economies over the past five years have been matched with the transformation in technology and these are all impacting on education, the workplace and our home life. To cope with the increasing pace and change of modern life, all need new life skills such as the ability to deal with stress and frustration. Today’s world will have many new jobs over the course of our lives, with associated pressures and the need for flexibility. Life skills helps us to maintain adequate balance between our changing environment and life.
