EU Project 2007-2009

To deepen and strengthen the concerns related to skill training in the unorganised sector, a 3-year project by name 'Economic empowerment through strengthening functional vocational training on viable trades and skills for the marginalised communities' was implemented from January 2007. The interventions meant to cover the un-reached and vulnerable communities in eight States.

Strengthening innovative and qualitative functional vocational training including livelihood skills in the un-reached segments like tribals, harijans, and trafficked women, and focusing on the unemployed school dropout and illiterate youth in Maharashstra, Gujarat, UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Orissa to contribute to livelihood promotion formed the main agenda in interventions.
