Who We Are
Functional Vocational Training and Research Society (FVTRS) is a leading Non-Profit organisation based in Bangalore, India. It is a National Award winning, ISO certified and affiliated with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The organisation was established in the year 1993.
Since its inception, FVTRS has delivered holistic vocational skill training to underprivileged youth nationwide, enabling sustainable and dignified livelihoods. With a team of experienced trainers and mentors, FVTRS has trained so far 218,538 individuals and achieved an 83% placement rate in decent-paying jobs. The organisation is continuously adding over 6,000 skilled workers annually to the labour market.
Recognised as the Best ESG Enabler by the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and honoured with the NGO Leadership Award, FVTRS continues to advance inclusive growth by aligning with the National Skill Development Corporation and the Skill India Mission toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

FVTRS has a strong and vibrant General body of 15 members hailing from diverse walks of life such as social work, Law, Academia, administration, and science. A seven member body constitutes the Governing Board who are elected from the General Body.
